Matte painted tiles provide a more modern look, with the lack of shine providing a relaxed and calm feeling in the room, especially if you have large tile areas. Flat paints are notoriously easy to mark and due to the humid nature of a bathroom, a regular flat paint would not be suitable. For this reason, it is crucial to use a washable matte paint or a heavy-duty matte that can cope with the higher demands of a bathroom. For this reason, we recommend using the best quality paint possible to ensure that you won't have to repeat the process in a few years when the finish isn't the same as when you painted. Depending on your shower or kitchen tile, there may be a lot of prep work to completely remove all oils, soap scum, and sealants.
The smell is intense. If I want to improve the smoothness of the brushwork, I could buff the paint using a very high grit (1000-1600 grit sandpaper wet or dry).

Our workshop's painted tile floor is exposed to excessive floor traffic, far more than your average indoor room. Clean painted tiles
Again because this room is our workshop, the tile is not cleaned as well or often as our interior floors. Overall, when you stand up and look at the room as a whole, the painted tile looks fine and you can't see any major issues. If I were to repaint my tiled floor with the Rustoleum I would definitely use a second coat of the topcoat as I said before. Use the proper preparation techniques and coatings, and it will look as good as, or better than, a brand new tiled backsplash application. Supplies neededTile cleaner

Tape for painters
Painter's masking paper or drop cloth
Latex primer and high gloss enamel
Two-component epoxy paint
OR Two-part epoxy paint 1 inch brush

Step 1
Remove the switch plates. 2nd step
Sand the backsplash with the sanding block, rubbing it to give the primer a better bond. Step 3
Mask around the tiles with painter's tape. Use a small paintbrush to make sure you get into the grout lines, then go over the entire area with a paint roller. Step 5
Gently sand the dried surface with your sanding block once more, then paint the tiles with your gloss glaze. Alternative to steps 4 and 5
Instead of applying primer and gloss paint, you can use two-component epoxy paint.
