Many of our art glass lamps have lights inside their bases, with the three way switch illuminating the base alone, the shade alone or both together. We've used the lighted base of our antique lamp almost every day for maybe 15-20 years and its bulb isn't out yet, but if it needs to be replaced, bring your lamp and we'll change the bulb to the lamp base at no cost. You will need a pair of regular pliers and a spare bulb. 2) Looking at the bottom of the lamp, you will see a wooden base with a cord exit hole in the side and a larger hole in the center. 3) After you have the loop, take the pliers and loosen the steel nut on the threaded pipe coming out of the lamp. 5) Holding the top of the lamp in one hand and holding it upside down, gently slide the cogs into place, making sure all washers are securely in place.
