Sams Club Traditional Living Laminate Review

Sams Club Traditional Living Laminate Review

Here is my review of the Sams Club Traditional Living laminate. I was impressed with this laminate flooring from Sam's Club, mainly because of the cost, but now it costs a bit more. As of 2014, Sams Club still sells this same product, although the cost has increased. They also show a 12mm laminate with a pad attached at 2.29 per foot, which isn't bad. This laminate was easy to install thanks to the Lock-n-Seal system which allows the planks to be tapped together while laying flat on the floor. The only downside to Sams Club, Traditional Living laminate flooring was that the end joints didn't always line up. I could use my tapping block set just on the edge of the high side and hit it with my hammer, most of the time that would do the trick and get the end joints flush. (Click on the picture to enlarge)

Another thing I had to keep an eye out for were small bits of base material that appeared along the edges. (Click on the image to enlarge)

Has Anyone Bought Laminate Flooring From Sam'S Club?

My in-laws installed laminate flooring around the same time I met my wife (about 8 years ago) and it didn't hold up well. They have had a number of dogs over the last 8 years, and the dogs have not been good for the laminate floor, and the laminate floor was not good for one of the dogs (hip issues). It warped in some places and the finish peeled off in other places - again from dogs (drinking / splashing their water) and puddles of puppies going undiscovered for a few hours. (My MIL is a neat freak so it's entirely possible she over-cleaned the floors...no lie...just to be honest!) stores one of these days...install- the... paint it a very dark color... rough... and call it a day.

Although their list of services is similar, Home Depot's list includes items such as paint, water heaters, decorating, and DIY services, while Lowe's list includes generators, evaporative coolers, water softeners and backsplashes.

There were lots of "how to" videos and lots of "look at the floors I just installed" articles, but I was looking for someone to tell me how the floor was holding up long term. Today there are laminate flooring options designed for areas prone to moisture, but at the time of my installation these options were not available. I've heard people complain about their laminate flooring (eg it wasn't attractive, it wasn't sturdy, it creaked or popped when walked on, and it didn't stay in place). time). However, if you have never laid flooring before, you should be aware of this critical step. I wouldn't change the color of my floor, but I had a feeling you would like to know this information. If your pet is accident prone, I wouldn't let them roam while the vacuum is running.

Help! My Flooring Has Been Discontinued!

Manufacturers are constantly updating their collections to be up to date with current styles and trends, and unfortunately this means that floors from the past are sometimes left behind. Often we have situations where customers have damage or want to extend their flooring project, only to find that their flooring has been abandoned. If your flooring is no longer manufactured, we recommend that you proceed as follows. Identify all of your flooring's original details, including the manufacturer's name, flooring color name, and model number. Sometimes homeowners release and sell extra boxes of flooring they no longer need. If you find a store that still has several boxes in stock, consider buying a few extra boxes so you have them on hand in case you need them again. If you can't find discontinued flooring, here's what we recommend. For example, if you have white flooring in your living room, gray flooring might look nice in an adjacent room. Feel free to send a sample of your flooring to our sample department, and we'll be happy to send you flooring samples we have in stock that would complement what you already have.
